If you are wondering what the โ€œTech Prosperity Corpsโ€ might be, it is apparently a new Peace Corps program to send people into developing countries and tell them to use AI

https://www.peacecorps.gov/about-the-agency/media-center/news/peace-corps-launches-tech-prosperity-corps-initiative/

"Have you even CONSIDERED the productivity benefits of applying frontier models to agentic workflows," the Peace Corps guy says to a local who just keeps repeating "clean water"
@jalefkowit This is uncanny. A guy where I work was doing a presentation where he gushed about how a woman in a village in a developing county could diagnose the cause of her childโ€™s fever and diarrhea using AI: I said it sounded like they could use clean drinking water much more than AI. Really took the wind out of the presenterโ€™s sails but he needed a reality check.
@MisuseCase @jalefkowit How much clean water will the datacenter use to tell the villager they need clean water.

@MisuseCase

In ancient times, people would go to Delphi to hear declarations from the oracle, a priestess said to sit on a chair over a crack in the ground, breathing in intoxicating fumes, and uttering her enigmatic prophecies.

Now, with AI, nobody looking for answers has to make an arduous journey or sacrifice some poor little goat.

Prophecy is democratized.

Each can have their own #AI supply of mystery fumes, to happily huff on, get totally wasted on, and then proclaim dubious nonsense.

@murodegrizeco @MisuseCase

Suffice to say the Oracle of Delphi was still profoundly influential on society at the time

@murodegrizeco @MisuseCase

And there were people exacting influence on the outcomes at all times. Which i believe is also the case with AI and will only grow over time. At least back then it was a bunch of radical women.

@jalefkowit So the AI prosperity gospel?
@jalefkowit aaaaaaa too many layers of bullshit (head explodes)
