There’s so much vernacular that I use casually, but that may not have breached the walls of common conversation, that sometimes, just in case, I’ll include a definition. Missing Stair and Spoons are the ones I define regularly, just because more people should grasp the underlying structure.

Woman’s studies wasn’t really a degree option when I was in university. My PhD was a feminist perspective of bioethics, (postmortem prenatal ventilation was the topic), and holy shit, I have never faced such male pushback.

I mean, we’re talking about keeping dead women ventilated so as to harvest a baby months in the future? Yuck, no. And the pushback I got was about father’s rights, when the case involved a child incest victim who committed suicide.

And people wondered why I went tech instead of teaching.
