@alice I have exactly one tattoo. When I was about 14 I think, my brother stabbed me in my right middle finger's first phalanx with an ink pen, and it left a small ink dot. My mom said not to worry, "it will go away in a couple weeks".

30 years later...

@adriano @alice

inkies are welcome in pencil dot nation.

@saltywizard @adriano @alice I similarly had a very noticeable mark from a graphite pencil I got stabbed with when I was very young (honestly can’t remember how it happened now) and it stayed with me for decades: but I just now checked and it’s gone (some 50 years later)!
@adriano @alice I have two tattoos: one is 50+ years old and is washed out/illegible.
The graphite stabbing tattoo happened in 1952 and looks good as new.
@adriano Got one of those too, except it was my own stupidity that lead to this DIY tattoo. I believe it's about 20 years old. I wear it with pride :D

@adriano

Lol.
I have one too.

But from stabbing myself with a greasy wire while working in a wire rope factory,

50 years ago.

It's slowly fading, will probably be gone if I can make it another 20years 😀

Wow, this seems to be way more common than I expected 😅
I accidentally stabbed myself in the thumb with an inky nib while drawing (I had one of those two-sided pens... can't recommend 🙃), more than 15 years ago, and the dark dot on my cuticle is still visible today.
@adriano @alice A calligraphy accident! 🤣
