So Trump deleted the photo depicting him as Jesus. — When asked about it, he will claim that it was posted by a staff member. However, he will neither name nor fire this alleged staff member, and 99.9% of MAGA influencers will simply act as if the whole thing never happened.

@Strandjunker I grew up with Christians constantly talking about the end times and how the antichrist will be a figure who fake Christians in name only will hail and worship. There were flyers and meetings.

Now, the most unChrist like figure in US history, a known rapist and bigot, who used our tax dollars to pay for holding refugees in foreign prisons - those public Christians are completely silent on how much Trump fits their narrative. Because they are silent bigots themselves.

@Urban_Hermit @Strandjunker Back in 2016, the evangelicals who used to be in my circle (before I left Facebook) proclaimed a commonly held evangelical belief about Trump.

That he's like David.

And that "God uses sinful man to accomplish his will."

That's where the endless forgiveness for his transgressions comes from.

@oli @Strandjunker anybody who can say, "Yes, God is in favor of refugees fleeing for their lives being captured, treated inhumanely, sometimes bundled so tight they can not breath, and flown to another country where they are held in prisons without charges for an unknown length of time - that is God's will."

Those people are horrible bigots who have elevated minor differences in skin color or nationality or religion into mortal sins.

No forgiveness, no excuses. Enabling Devil's work.

@Urban_Hermit @oli @Strandjunker

They worship a demon. It's that simple. And they'll deny it to the last breath.

@MissGayle @Urban_Hermit @oli @Strandjunker One thing I unfortunately learned as a child at my first funeral, when I had a childs guileless understanding, is that the adults around me who said "the Bible is literal truth" and that Heaven was real, didn't really believe what they were saying because they didn't act like they understood or internalized the practical consequences of people being functionally immortal. Then I could question and recontextualize religious teachings as practical applied philosophy and long family traditions, rather than whatever rationalizations these chuckleheads are doing.
