The #USA blew up another boat in the Eastern Pacific on Sunday, killing 5 people.

They struck two boats, claiming without evidence that the boaters were "narco-terrorists." One boater reportedly survived.

"After the strikes, Southern Command said it notified the US Coast Guard to launch a search and rescue mission for the survivor. There was no immediate word on the status of that search."

@dalfen Oooh, The Intercept made an article about it today. Might be of interest to you. (not sure if it's reliable source)

State Department Tells Human Rights Watchdog to Ignore Trump’s Extrajudicial Killings

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights “lacks the competence” to review Trump’s campaign of deadly boat strikes, a State Department spokesperson said.

The Intercept

@darkpixel I verified that the meeting happened and that the Trump Admin's State Department didn't like it and doesn't like the IACHR or ACLU interfering in its "narco-terrorist" boat strike operations (see screenshots below). The Trump Admin doesn't think it's a human rights issue. I haven't verified quotes from the article.

The IACHR also expressed its views about the boat strikes back in Dec:

@darkpixel Also, thanks for the link!
The Intercept is okay imo... left-leaning investigative journalism. Often cutting edge and controversial. I try to verify claims in more than one source.
