3rd Annual Indianapolis Peace Walk – Riverside Park Join us for the 3rd Annual Indianapolis Peace Walk as we come together to promote peace, unity, and safer communities across our city. This year marks a special milestone as we gather at Riverside Park for the first time, bringing even more visibility and energy to this important movement. Held in recognition of National Youth Violence Prevention Week, this community-centered event brings together youth leaders, families, advocates, and organizations committed to creating positive change and uplifting the voices of young people. Participants will begin at the historic Thomas Taggart Memorial and walk a guided route through the Riverside neighborhood, symbolizing our shared commitment to healing, awareness, and action. Walk Route: Starting at the Taggart Memorial (1856 Burdsal Pkwy), we will head east on Burdsal Parkway, turn north onto N. Harding Street, continue west on W. Roache Street, then head south on Riverside Drive, returning to the Thomas Taggart Memorial. What to Expect: Community and youth speakers A peaceful, guided neighborhood walk Opportunities to connect with local organizations A collective stand against violence and for community wellness Whether you are walking in honor of loved ones, supporting youth, or simply showing up for your community—your presence matters.
