I tried #obsidian for the first time. There's a lot about it that I don't understand, and it's a #notetaking app. Does all that complication help people?

It reminds me of #logseq in that it seems to have a steep learning curve, and I don't know if it's worth it.

@passthejoe Many people try to make Obsidian into some kind of life operating system. It’s a notes app.

Open a page and start writing. Use the built in search or the Omnisearch plug-in to find stuff. It works very well without folder structures, tags or links.

That’s it. If you want to do smarter things feel free to delve deeper but in essence, just start writing.
