I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this yet. I'm not against Brave finding ways to fund themselves but any time a company of any sort starts changing its business model, it worries me.

That said, I do like that their first change is one to basically only remove features that you can manually disable if you don't want them. I see people saying "pay to debloat" but I think it's more like a way of monetizing without hurting existing users.

@aptea Brave browser has Ai data analytics enabled by default

you can disable it but having it on by default on first boot is scummy

you will learn that when someone claims to be secured theirs always something that makes that claim false in the software
