If Biden wanted Kamala Harris to win (more than he cared about his ego), @ginaintheburg, he would have said to her: "If you differing with one of my policies would help you get elected, do it."

But Biden was more interested in his reputation than in her getting elected as president. Biden told her to defend all of his policies, and she was stupid enough to do that. He was unpopular and she backed his policies, including Biden's terribly inhumane Gaza policy.
