Apple is closing down the first of its US stores to unionize.

Apple says that because of the collective bargaining agreement with these workers, they "couldn’t offer to transfer them to nearby locations.”

The union is outraged, and exploring options to hold Apple accountable.

@digyoursoul Apple is shit scared, this is desperate scorched earth approach and yeah, it might very well work to scare others away from unionization.

Does the union actually have any legal option?

@forse @digyoursoul
We have a lot of protections for unions on the books in the US; however, court rulings over the past 30-40 years have really whittled down their scope.
So the answer is "maybe" with a side of "but they'll have to fight for it."
