@suearcher what sort of electric car? New or used? I'm mulling over replacing ours as a tank of diesel lasts me a couple of months now.

An MG5, 4 years old. One previous owner. Alfred's been looking into it all for years and this one is a good price, and we can part-ex one of our diesels. It should have a 200 mile range.

We need to keep one diesel for towing, but the MG will be for all the other trips, mostly short hops around town.
