We built shelters for the #BlueTit 🐦 in the #cultiva garden
We learned how to build small wooden shelters with an entrance hole about 28 mm in diameter. This design detail allows the blue tit to enter safely while preventing access by larger birds or predators, ensuring better nesting conditions.
The blue tit feeds on insects and larvae, making it a natural ally in pest control in the garden and fostering a balanced and sustainable #ecosystem.

Construimos abrigos para o #ChapimAzul 🐦 na horta #cultiva
Aprendemos a construir pequenos abrigos em madeira com um orifício de entrada com cerca de 28 mm de diâmetro. Este detalhe permite que o chapim-azul entre em segurança, ao mesmo tempo que impede o acesso de aves maiores ou predadores, garantindo melhores condições de nidificação.
O chapim-azul alimenta-se de insetos e larvas, sendo um aliado natural no controlo de pragas na horta.
