There's a homage to Canary Wharf by @stephenkb.bsky.social in the FT today. I'm a fan as well. The early Scouts Monopoly Runs ended there. Tucked away amid all the skyscrapers is the Lord Amory ("The only permanently moored campsite in the UK"). #scouts #ScoutingUK https://www.lordamory.org/

Before Monopoly Run became huge all the runners made their way to Canary Wharf after the contest for jacket spuds and chilli. It was not easy to find the Lord Amory in the dark! It felt part of the old docklands rather than the new. #scouts #ScoutingUK
