In the previous photo, you saw Helen with poppy seeds,

A portrait of Kris

For colour portrait photos, I usually used my Canon A1

It was a favourite camera of mine for a long time, and I realise now that I really should add to my collection .

Kris was also a sort of muse for a long time, and I could certainly put together a collection of photos of her too! She has featured here before, for example in this photo:

The portrait was taken with my Canon A1 and an MD 50mm 1.4 lens.

I was able to buy the A1 years ago for next to nothing, and it has always been both a travel companion and a camera I used for #model photography.

What a beautiful portrait. 😮

The Canon AE1 is also my favorite film camera; it has something that other cameras don't. 👌
Thanks for your nice comment about the portrait ! The picture is made with a A-1 ( not the AE-1 ) I know they are " brothers or sisters " and use the same FD lenses but once you get to know the A-1 you would love it better I guess. I used the AE-1 also and it's even the camera that got me into analog again many years ago. But the A-1 is something closer to the F-1 so closer to a pro model. I remember that one thing I don't like that much on the AE-1 is the light meter system . I know there are a lot of people fond of the AE-1 program but I never used one ...
@LievenSymaeys Oh, I misread that. I’ve never tried the A1; I’ll have to give it a go one day.
