a few years ago, walking along the Anza creek around Chistmas, pointing east towards the face of Her Majesty the Monte Rosa, far in the background.

'cause -as the locals like to point out- "from our valley in Piedmont we look the mountain in the face, from Aosta Valley side, they look at her butt"

from my usual amazing short walk from Roletto to Vanzone

I had been observing her for a week and thought she was definitely worth a portrait. So I asked during the #italy #holliday ! She still uses the photos on her Insta, so the portrait was well worth the film. #Portrait of Laura, taken with a #Bessa.

And I decided to create an Italy collection.

Can you still climb the tower now in 2025 ?

Anyway I found out that in 2014 I did it with 2 cameras hanging around my neck... A Canon A1 and this Chinon CE-4 loaded with old film...

I already mentioned that I first discovered #Bologna in 2014.
So I went digging through the photo archives.

photographed back then with a #Chinon CE-4.

The archive folder also says expired film
(but I’m no longer a hundred percent sure what exactly I had managed to get my hands on back then).

Do you know the feeling of falling in love with a city?
In 2014, I spent about ten days in #Bologna,
and the city has never left my heart since.
It’s an Italian blend of #culture, culinary delights, and a vibrant atmosphere full of personalities...
young, old, and everything in between.
A beautiful mix of people to watch.
Since then, I’ve kept the city close to my heart as the perfect stopover between home and my journeys to Tuscany.

And there’s always something new to discover,

#Italy ...

It’s become something of a yearly tradition.
And I decided to create an Italy collection.
