One #monal user came today: "Your chat went crazy!"

He showed me his iphone: the screen was flickering.

I checked prosody logs. Nothing.

I looked at the screen again and got what happened.

A day ago I sent three links to that user. Monal tried to get a preview but the site kicked back with antibot protection.
Instead of displaying something sane Monal seemed to retry without any delay that caused flickering.

@menel after I kept myself calm I went back to my business trying to do it best.

My posts are just a warning for those who's too optimistic about #xmpp in general and #monal in particular.

I'm the user of Prosody where I can fix bugs by myself. If I'll ever be a user of Monal I'll still prefer to fix it by myself not interacting with those vibecoders at all. Six years of development, right? And it's still slopware. Stop ashaming #FreeSoftware
