I was too young to remember Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon.

But I am old enough to remember the latter Apollo lunar landings.

And I clearly remember the Apollo-Soyuz hook-up.

This Artemis II triumph came just when I, as an American who has not been especially proud to be American lately, needed it most.

Well done NASA!

And may the four Artemis II astronauts never pay for a drink for the rest of their lives.
