I’m thinking of creating a handful of short one minute videos with some quick Nuke compositing tips that I would like to host on PeerTube. But I’m still trying to wrap my head around the decentralized nature. Which server should I post on? And would it matter if in the end I would be sharing links here on Mastodon? Any suggestions or ideas would be awesome. Thank you.

@Tron2049 ideally there would be a peertube instance focused on vfx and that's where it would be "best", but as you hint in the end it doesn't matter that much if you end up sharing them elsewhere.
Maybe try finding vfx videos through: https://sepiasearch.org/ and see if thered an instance that tends to have vfx (youd probably have more luck with games related) and see if they accept signups!

@minkiu thank you so much for the search link. I was trying to find videos through the PeerTube app itself and had no idea there was so much more out there.
