If you are noticing that your morning cup of #coffee seems more expensive, it’s not your imagination. Coffee #prices are up 18.7%‼️ over the year, & 1.3% in March. That price spike is due to a number of factors, including #tariffs & #ExtremeWeather that has hurt the global supply of beans.
Saw it a year ago, tariffs coming (no matter that we don't produce enough coffee - pitiful quantities in Hawaii), so tariffs protect nothing here (same with bananas BTW).
So I went to COSTCO (I only use beans and grind at home), and bought over a year's supply. I still have, after all this time, at least another six months' worth.
My prices paid are way lower.
Why do we need tariffs for non-competing products? Because they are idiots.
