Absolutely. I'm teaching it to "Young Grasshopper", one of my students. They're learning parametric ways, and making basic components for a servo-driven arm of their own devising.

@vik we've seen a lot of people pick up FreeCAD from OpenSCAD as we have native support, the openSCAD wb and for some stuff FreeCAD can be quicker, (Jo here and OpenSCAD was my route into FreeCAD!) Ace that we have open source choices here!

I can use FreeCAD to make fancier surfaces and CNC paths, but when it comes to version control and user libraries, I rapidly fall back to OpenSCAD. So then, OpenSCAD with FreeCAD support...

@freecad our team is working with proceedural design tools for mechanical and electrical - pipe and duct laying. Inspired by all the proceedural pipe geometry nodes in blender.
