Today, I helped present to the Multnomah County Commissioners an annual update for our new library construction and remodel projects. I sit on the Library Bond Oversight Committee and this was our FY25 annual report.

I covered DEI, mainly in the trade workers that are building our libraries. I was happy to report on progress bringing diversity into our skilled workforce.

@ahimsa_pdx You're welcome. Unfortunately, it's still challenging for women in the trades and they are vastly under-represented at higher experience levels. I am glad the county and library has recognized this as a concern and will work to do better.
