It’s past the time for Canada to start cutting as many ties with the US as humanly possible. No more F-35s. Ditch the autopact and make one with Asia, Africa and Europe. Make individual trade deals with some states perhaps and treat those more like sovereign countries. Treat the US like the fascist country it has become.
There’s no doubt that not having the US in NATO weakens it, but if they’re going to act like the enemy maybe NATO would be better off.
It would be nice, but Canada sends arms to Israel, condemns Iran’s defence against an illegal attack, and continues to deny reparations for colonialism and slavery.

Carney’s speech at Davos was brave for a vassal state, but he put the sign back in the window at the first sign that colonialism was marching again.
Not at all. I am merely pointing out that there deep structural issues that need to be overcome if there is to be real change instead of a feel good, boycotting USA but still living with a colonial mindset fake change.
