GNOME Calendar has gotten *so good*, it just handles ICS files, multi-day events, multiple calendars, and mismatched timezones so well now. Hands down my favorite calendar app on any platform. If there's a "most improved app award", surely it must be a contender.
@nathandyer @gnome .. awesome, but it still needs a single day view so I can have a slim / unintrusive window on the side of my screen next to my main windows.
@wook Do you know that you can just resize the width of the window down to that linear single-day view? Per your description, I'd think it would be exactly what you'd need.
@nekohayo , I didn’t know that but I do now! Thanks! I don’t know if that’s new or I never figured that out vs the Week/Month switchers at the bottom. Might be good to add a 3rd button with those switchers for consistency. And in the slim view, allow collapsing the current month at the top. On my 2560x1600 (200% scale) laptop, it takes almost 50% of the vertical space, so not many events show at a time. Good stuff though!

@wook
GNOME Calendar's list view is currently the same as implemented in 2022… It may become available as a switchable view even on desktop, but needs to be refactored and rewritten to go with the new designs and infinite timeline.
