@parismarx why can't we just boycott his crazy chatbots? They cheat, lie, disinform, and they make people do stupid things?
We do have a right to say no, don't we? And if we don't by law, we need to make new laws that provide that right!

@parismarx In my mind this follows the playbook of local compute and storage being bought up by AI/cloud companies, and then charging people for cloud storage and compute plans, because, oh no!, on-prem compute and storage is either not available at all, or prohibitively expensive, for some mysterious reason.

It's just now they've found a way to extend this to *human* "compute".

@parismarx While I don't think we should do much with it, I think we should absolutely advocate for the public seizure of OpenAI's property like he's suggesting. Water and Electricity are managed by Municipalities (usually) and I think we should also own and distribute AI on the local level. We don't need to pay him for it, imminent domain that shit.

@parismarx So many levels of wrong with S.Altman. First of all, water access should not be charged for and should be treated as the human right it is. It should not be capitalized. Electricity is practically at the point of being the same.

Also, fuck fake-intelligence LLMs and the psychosis and brain death they cause.
