GNOME Calendar has gotten *so good*, it just handles ICS files, multi-day events, multiple calendars, and mismatched timezones so well now. Hands down my favorite calendar app on any platform. If there's a "most improved app award", surely it must be a contender.
@nathandyer I contribute to GNOME Calendar and it’s great to hear that our team’s work is appreciated ☺️ you can expect further improvements and major feature additions with the coming releases.
@philippsauberzweig Thank you so much for all the work you and your team has done! I'm looking forward to seeing what's next!
@nathandyer Calendar is awesome and so are the team behind it - specifically, I have to thank @TheEvilSkeleton so much for inspiring me and helping me become a contributor to it. Seriously, if you have a few spare coins, do consider donating to her to she can continue the amazing work!
@zoeyTheWitch Absolutely! Proud to say I've been a (very modest) sponsor via Liberapay for a while! Love the work @TheEvilSkeleton is doing.
@nathandyer @TheEvilSkeleton Oh I didn't realise you already were, thats awesome! Thanks for the support :)

@nathandyer

Totally! I recently revisited GNOME after a long spell with KDE. Some apps, and Calendar in particular, have improved by a huge leap. Very impressive, and a big thanks to the maintainers.

@ghisvail @nathandyer I use gnome calendar in KDE because I'm a really bad person :D
@nathandyer That's so amazing! I've used it on #postmarketos for a while now but it felt a little too minimalist. Still have to wait for the update to show up in the repo though 😅
@nathandyer @gnome .. awesome, but it still needs a single day view so I can have a slim / unintrusive window on the side of my screen next to my main windows.
@nathandyer what I find great with GNOME Calendar is I can sync it effortlessly with my Nextcloud Calendar on my PCs. On my Android phone I need an app for synchronization (DAVx⁵).
