Because when powerful interests write the rules, it takes more than a rally to change them. It takes organized people showing up together and demanding better from those who govern our communities. Our Demands for May 1st Protect immigrant workers and families. No collaboration with deportation forces that tear apart our communities. Put working families first. Invest in housing, healthcare, and good jobs in Johnson County. Strengthen democracy locally. Government should answer to the people, not wealthy special interests. On International Workers Day and the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker, we will gather as workers, neighbors, and people of faith for a community town hall and Johnson County Supervisors Candidate Forum. Together we will flex our collective muscle by bringing our voices, our stories, and our vision for a more just community. Join us as we celebrate May 1st through action, solidarity, and community.
