@jexner I'm currently oscillating between phases 2 and 4. And the exhaustion is _brutal_.

@headfirstonly I think I started strong with themes 1 & 3, but had 2 in the back of my mind. Every now and again, aspects of theme 2 pop up, and those are usually situations full of harsh grief. Theme 1 & 3 are more permanent, but with less amplitude, so to speak.

This is one of the reasons I love Mastodon. The people in my phone who understand, who relate, who empathise.

@jexner It's Ludovico's closing comments in that article which really hit home. The realisation that just "trying harder" will somehow fix things is a cruel illusion and that I'm always going to be like this has been incredibly tough to deal with. It triggered a severe depressive episode which has lasted months. But at least I can stop wasting my energy trying to change reality...
