#BootsTheChemist at Cribbs gets 0/10 from me for #autism acceptance month. Self-checkout tills only; tills crammed together so the customers to each side of me were well inside my personal space; trying to use the till triggered the "seek assistance" message not once, but four times.

Went from "tense but dealing with it" to "imminent meltdown" in less than ninety seconds and I had to abandon the transaction completely and just walk out.

You know what, Boots?
I'm never, EVER coming back.

TIL that the noise of the giant stone ball that chases Indy at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark was a recording of a Honda Civic rolling down a gravel slope with its engine turned off. I *love* sound design.
If ever there was a metaphor for the state of things at the moment, America yeeting "Integrity" into outer space has to be a front-runner #Artemis
Have to say, that was some of the most inept TV coverage of a rocket launch I've ever watched, particularly cutting away just before booster separation to show some bloke sitting in front of his RV filming it with his phone. I hope he got a better shot than we did.

It dawned on me today that, for me, for as long as I can remember, the core experience of what I now know is #complexptsd and #autism has been the sickening feeling that I've just done something terribly, horribly wrong.

Believe me, it wears you out.

‘This feels fragile’: how a satellite-smashing chain reaction could spiral out of control

Today, the space around Earth can no longer be considered empty. More than 30,000 objects are in orbit, and that figure is rising exponentially

I'm safely back home after a day out, collecting some very old toys from the drum machine doctor.

Apparently #Meta have decided I "don't follow the rules" and have disabled my accounts there. No explanation, no email, nothing. They've simply changed the locks on accounts I've had for more than two decades.

Given that the first step of the appeals process requires logging in to the accounts that I can no longer log in to, I guess that means I'm done with Instagram and Facebook for ever.

If you followed me there, sorry, but I'm out. And you know what? It's actually a relief.

Ah. I have reached the "obsessively and repeatedly re-recording the bass part to get the groove right" stage of my current album project...
