interesting (paywalled, but bypassable if you use reader mode) article which buries the lede on a lot of fun* tidbits of information, such as:

AI usurping trained civil servants as trusted sources of information for lawmakers

and these things writing laws

a model for a sentiment-manipulation attack wherein the kremlin pops up tens of thousands of websites and lets them get scraped by trainer bots in order to inject anything they want into the output

it seemed like a timely thing to bring up,

especially, given the current conversation about the project to replace all IT-related labor with a system suceptible to centralized control

(as always, poorly, but they're hoping people won't notice for just long enough that it'll work)

@estelle @emilymbender I have taken to referring to misAnthropic Mythos as Metasploit '26. #grandtheftautocomplete #genaI #anthropic
@estelle @emilymbender This article is pretty chilling reading (I'm 80% in, with more Zitron to catch up on), it's already clear Rachel Reeves lacks coherent strategy here. You do wonder if the MPs involved have actually caught chatbots in the act of "lying" as I have often... it is paywalled but the Wayback Machine crawled it already. #genai #anthropic #openai #grandtheftautocomplete #aislop
@estelle And those tens of thousands of websites can be generated by AI too, in order to provide an overwhelming quantity of text.
