My dad had an early Compaq from work. He ran a PC users group once a month on Saturday morning. I went with him once and we brought that machine in its carrying case. As we were walking from the parking lot into the building, one of his associates sidled up to us and asked him, "Is that thing really portable?"
Dad looks at me holding it with a shoulder strap and replied, "It is if you have a teenage son"
@ehurtley The wonderful Stephen Jones (of SDF Public Access UNIX) has been running them every 6 months since around 2023!
He got handed the reins to take over VCF PNW and move it up here!
