He said the quiet part out loud. You work for us, not him, Blanche.
@georgetakei
The US needs an independent prosecutor not directly connected to the administration. That's what the UK has. That was Keir Starmer's old job before he got into politics.

@ilust606 @georgetakei

The U.S. already has that it's called the Department of Justice. The only people that don't understand how it works are MAGA and the leftists who were pissed at Biden for not pressuring Garland to prosecute Trump, like any good fascist would do.

@HakeemG @ilust606 @georgetakei Yeah nah, the slowwalking of Trump’s prosecution is a stain on both Biden and Garland. It’s one thing to gather evidence for an airtight case against the greatest attack on American democracy in a generation and quite another to let a four year clock run out and enabling that attacker to wield the levers of power again for the sake of appearing nonpartisan. That era must be over; we need a new Reconstruction.

@WhiteCatTamer @ilust606 @georgetakei

The only people with a stain here are the clowns who don't understand Biden had no authority to influence the DOJ and that Merrick Garland did indeed do his job. Long live Sleepy Joe Biden one of the greatest presidents in American history!!!

Within days of being sworn in as attorney general on March 11, 2021, Garland ... instructed them to “follow the connective tissue upward”

No, Merrick Garland Did Not Let Donald Trump Skate.

No, Merrick Garland Did Not Let Donald Trump Skate

Within days of becoming attorney general, he assembled his deputies and told them to turn over every Trump rock. Blame a lumbering system—and an electorate...

@HakeemG @ilust606 @georgetakei This article’s arguments are that Garland did pursue Trump from day one; that is not at question. My criticism is that the resources he dedicated to it were insufficient relative to the harm done and danger posed by Trump and that this criticism can also be laid at Biden’s feet because the president appoints the AG, and therefore could have appointed a new one.

@WhiteCatTamer @ilust606 @georgetakei

I mean your comment is still right there:

"slowwalking of Trump’s prosecution is a stain on both Biden and Garland"

Personally I blame the 77 million people who voted for this clown and the 90 million who stayed home. The both sides are the same and the uncommitted movement can also eat a pickle as far as I'm concerned. As for blaming Biden, clearly you don't understand how our Democracy and the DOJ work or are supposed to work.

@HakeemG @ilust606 @georgetakei You and I don’t disagree about (non)voters and their disastrous (non) choices, nor about how there is a clear difference between the parties in every arena that sets the Democrats far above the fascists. Where we disagree is that Garland’s failure to throw the whole weight of the DOJ against Trump after he attacked American democracy and was gearing up to do worse was a contributor to his return to power.
