This class focuses on practical ways to stay safe at protests, how to deal with chemical/munitions, and providing basic first aid in a protest setting. ### Some of the emergency first aid techniques covered are: - How to stop bleeding - Maintaining an airway - Treating a chest injury - Splinting an extremity - Moving a patient _Our instructor is a retired firefighter/paramedic who has been at the Portland ICE facility on a regular basis. Chad has dealt with tear gas attacks, rubber bullets, riot police, aggressive counter protestors, and everything else in between. Learn from firsthand experience about what to do (and what not to do) while protesting at high risk environments._
