The frost protection paid off, we have baby peaches! 🍑

@That_One_Guy first year won't be good. I get about 2 fruit each year after the second
@Rasta
This tree is a dwarf and on its 3rd or 4th year. I'm not sure how that will impact harvest. I was hoping for 6.
@That_One_Guy
You're in a much warmer area. Your dwarf might be different kind than mine, which are probably chosen for NS because they are cold hardy. But, in the city, a 1 foot tall seedling was planted ,and the next year ,we had fruit, so I dug those ones up too and moved them here. Transplanting sometimes delays production again for a few years while they settle in
@That_One_Guy Exciting! Ours are still a few weeks off, and night frosts have been ongoing... I hope they survive this weird spring.
@rootsandcalluses
A false spring started ours earlier than it should. It has been a weird start to the growing season for us.

@That_One_Guy It's been a weird year here, too, with extreme cold unusual for the area, and apparently we are getting frost again tonight.

I hope the peach does well!
