Jodie Ginsberg, CEO of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), says the Israeli drone attack that killed Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Wishah today “suggests, unfortunately, another targeted killing by a journalist by Israel”.
“That’s a pattern that we have seen consistently since October the 7th,” said Ginsberg, noting that more than 260 journalist and media workers have been killed in Gaza since the war began.
“That makes Israel the biggest killer of journalists since CPJ started documenting those deaths in 1992. It has killed more journalists than any other government, any other military force, in the world,” she added.
