NEW | Spanish PM Calls for Lebanon’s Inclusion in Ceasefire, Urges EU Action Against Israel
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is launching the most intense attack against Lebanon since the offensive began.
He described Israel’s actions as showing contempt for human life and international law, calling the situation “intolerable.”
Sánchez stressed that Lebanon must be included in any ceasefire agreement, and called on the international community to condemn what he described as a new violation of international law.
He also urged the European Union to suspend its Association Agreement with Israel, and emphasized that there must be no impunity for criminal acts.
