A group of nuns who operate a nursing facility in New York are suing the state over a law that requires them to provide care for transgender patients. That is not in the spirit of Jesus, is it?

Why Catholic nuns are suing over transgender care and religious freedom

The Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne said the law is unconstitutional through compelling them to "act against central, unchangeable" Catholic teachings.

USA TODAY
@transworld IMHO #Hospitals and.other #HealthcareProviders should be mandated by law.to provide care or be forcibly requisited by the state to do so, with everyone refusing to provide care being banned from medical professions for life and jailed for violating their professional duty to care!
@transworld This is utter bullshit. Unfortunately, I think they will win. In the USA, "Freedom of Religion" is a get-out-of-jail-free card that beats everything else, assuming your religion is one of the approved ones, of course.

Putting aside the legal and free speech questions, how can you call yourself a care facility if you put your personal politics above the health and rights of your patients.

They are suing in order to have the ability to harm their patients. Does that not go against medical ethics?
