Almost always order the dish on the menu named after the restaurant.
And always order whatever is outlined on the menu with a decorative box.
Paul Hoffman@marcoarment @merlinwisdom At Chinese restaurants (at least in the US), order the dish with the least descriptive name ("Sauteed eight assortment", "emperor's chicken", ...). It is likely the one dish that the cook got to add to the boring descriptive menu.
