I meet countless people through work and I lose track of who's nice and not so I developed a system. Anyone that's the latter has their last name saved in capitals on my email contacts. So when James JONES emails me I am reminded that he's a knob and can respond accordingly.
@fesshole Clever. And if you face a GDPR challenge you can just say "oh, no, the capitalisation is just random, it doesn't encode any PII". They'll know you're lying, but they won't be able to prove it.
@TimWardCam @fesshole « sorry that’s my French tendencies »

@kc @TimWardCam @fesshole

its also common on official documents / statements from the Police and other public authorities in the UK (for instance HM Coroner)

@fesshole I am adopting this strategy, thanks!
@fesshole Just deal with people as you find them. Be you....you don't need a spreadsheet.
@fesshole This is a disturbing post for me to see because one of the people I follow on Mastodon is called David JONES, capitalized exactly thus, and is not (at least in my experience) in any way a knob.
