I signed up for #GlowForHomes online access for electricity (#SmartMeter installed in March) and note:
- they required MPAN and proof of address (eg credit card)
- data was available in Bright app in ~10 mins but won't download from website
- data covers the period not only prior to the Smart Meter installation, but months before I bought the house 🤔
- they show the correct standing charge but not the correct unit cost (overestimate), and not a dual tariff which I am on

Have you recently connected a #Glow Display / CAD to their UK #SmartMeter?

I'm curious about the process you underwent to get it connected to the meter - did you have to self record a video? I can already access data via their website, but I think the process to connect the display is more onerous.

Glow Display and CAD

@happyborg I have their CAD. I don't remember the onboarding process but I don't remember having to do anything too complicated. I had previously used their app/website, same as you it seems, so perhaps that made it easier.

The CAD is great and delivers the data to homeassistant seamlessly. The device itself has quite a lot of useful dashboards too, and is easy to use. I highly recommend it!

@happyborg I should say I bought it at least 2 years ago, so the process may indeed be more onerous now.

@vksxypants Thanks, that's helpful but may have changed or be changing - so I'm trying to understand before I buy one.

The terms from the website are less onerous in places than the ones shown in the app. In each case I had to agree during sign up, so it may be or be being tightened up.
