New from 404 Media: Microsoft has terminated an account associated with VeraCrypt, the popular and long-running piece of encryption software. This means can no longer receive updates on Windows, the developer told me. Little explanation given by Microsoft https://www.404media.co/microsoft-abruptly-terminates-veracrypt-account-halting-windows-updates/

@V4N4D1S @josephcox I'm not on YC forum but I know how to fix this as I got the same glitch
in December and had to solve it. (I replied to Joseph's original post with this info)
“Linux and macOS updates can still be done but Windows is the platform used by the majority of users and so the inability to deliver Windows releases is a major blow to the project.”

Microsoft is doing a good job driving users to other platforms.

@josephcox

Last year I got a paid MSDN license at work. I wanted to run Windows in a VM, but the site didn’t give me any product keys. Instead, it just errored out.

I contacted support, who told me that they had reviewed my case, and would not be able to grant access. Then they closed the ticket.

I opened a new ticket and insisted that it’s unacceptable to have paid for a product and then not receive it. They closed that one _without notifying me_.

I never got the license key, so we basically paid the full yearly MSDN cost for nothing in return.

Used to be a time when Microsoft still wanted developers on their platforms. Doesn’t seem to be the case any longer.

@josephcox I KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS, the exact same thing happened to my company, same error message, and there's no way to get MS to help, but it's just a glitch and it can be reset by the developer by doing the right incantations on their portal. (1/2)

@josephcox The way to make the partner center *start the vetting process over again* is to:

EDIT the primary contact info. You don't even have to make any changes, just add and delete an extra space or something, but re-save it. This kicks off vetting again and prompts for the Verifiable Credentials (VC).

Without the above step, there was NO way to supply the credential and re-vet. (2/2)
