Next week I have the honor of doing a presentation advocating for the Fediverse in a really prestigious venue (I can't share more now, but I will after it takes place).
I'm currently working on slides and I would love to hear testimonies from YOU. Why the Fediverse is so special to you in contrast to Big Tech platforms (bonus points if you speak French & can reply en français).

Fediverse proves that if nobody is tipping the scales to artificially boost "engagement", toxic people end up being blocked. Mainstream social media toxicity is not inevitable, it's a business decision, a choice. And Fediverse chooses not to have any of it.
@rysiek @_elena Unfortunately this works 2+ ways or is multi-reasoned.
So the same good kind of blocking etc can be part of the similar culture of not going deep / teaching anyone / seeing others as your own (or as part of humanity) / work in progress etc...
Something positive in communication and not just fleeting (which counts) but something deeper / more frequently developed as humans.
Any thoughts on that?
I'm against the obvious #spam or #Nazism etc but I mean the #normal people are too sterile / not active (other than #job) and not able any longer to really be flexible / see past comments... too clean / doesn't grow the us (non-techies) as imperfect / human as we are.
Know what I mean?
