The president’s threat to wipe out an entire civilization is dangerous, reckless, and would constitute a war crime under both domestic and international law. This rhetoric undermines U.S. credibility, endangers civilians, and places American personnel in untenable legal, moral, and mortal jeopardy. Anyone in the Trump Administration who acts on this threat and violates the law must be held accountable, including criminal liability.
The urgency of the situation demands immediate action. This is the type of moment the 25th Amendment was drafted to address. The president is unfit to serve, and lives are at stake. The entire chain of command has a responsibility in this moment to step up and put their country over their loyalty to the president.
@SeanCasten Is there any hope of Impeachment? This honestly seems more possible knowing the complicity of his cabinet
@SeanCasten So, what you're saying is that we're all screwed?

@SeanCasten my concern is how much is his cabinet just as all-in on the intent. Apparently JD is not in that house but many might be or might simply be too afraid to show any sign of going against Donald.

It's time, but it may be to late.

@SeanCasten what about "of such other body as Congress may by law provide" from section 4? can the Congress act on that?

@SeanCasten Congressman, the 25th Amendment was drafted to address presidential succession following the Kennedy assassination.

It was not drafted to remove presidents who are dangerously incompetent. That's what impeachment is for. YOU are a member of the government body with the power to impeach.

I appreciate you acknowledging that the president is out of his mind and must be removed. But don't tell us to expect his cabinet of handpicked criminal sycophants to do your job.

@SeanCasten lots of rhetoric from dems as well. What are you DOing? Oh right, y'all are on vacation.
@SeanCasten honestly, if we can just get the votes, impeachment is faster and cleaner.
