Having become very unhappy with Duolingo I decided to supplement my Swedish learning by taking out a subscription to Babbel which (for me) is quite heavily grammar focussed which is good but what I previously picked up via osmosis is now being spelled out and that is causing me to get a lot of things incorrect because I no longer answer by instinct.

It’s also poses me dilemma such as offering three different ways of saying “please” whereas previously I would only have ever said “tack”, it offers (I may have got these slightly wrong)

Var vänlig och

With no explanation of whether they are interchangeable or should only be used in specific circumstances. Grrrrr .

@Masterofsorrow Those three expressions mean the same ("would you be so kind"-literally "will you be kind/you'll be kind", "be kind and", and "be nice and" respectively). I give you my word as a native Swedish speaker. :-) The first and the last is in the singular; the middle one is plural. I'd say the last one is a wee bit more formal. Put the ", är du snäll" at the end of a sentence-or, if you put it first, add an "och" to it.
