Stuart Langridgehalf the people I know going on about the new opening of Pineapple Road station, which means that I've had Tobacco Road by the Nashville Teens in my head all morning
does anyone know why it's called Pineapple Road? I know that was the name of the old station, but... how did it get that name? These days Moseley is more your artisanal goats cheese and Parma ham (the other two ingredients for a good pizza), but I'm pretty sure it's never been pineapple country, unless the constant rain only started in about 1920

@sil As to why pineapple, it’s by the Pineapple Estate, a post-war housing development that Pineapple Road runs through. As to why _that’s_ called pineapple, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
