This morning, JD Vance arrives in Budapest, Hungary, in an attempt to save Viktor Orbán from the Hungarian people voting him out of office on sunday.

I doubt this will work. No European leader is as corrupt as Orbán, and the polls show the Hungarians have had it.

@randahl Waking up post election days in the past two decades or so, I have been disappointed in the state of the world. So I am pessimistic.
Polls do not mean much if the incumbent dictator has his henchmen on every institution to help him win. People are being heavily influenced by media, which he and his family and friends own. And if he loses, he can still declare, with his media outlets, that the election is stolen.
What will happen next is more important: Will the people accept this and will any protest amount to insignificance and fizzle out? Like russia or the us?
Or will they follow the example of past revolutions?
