For all those predicting global economic doom and gloom as a result of US and Israel’s illegal war on Iran there is a silver lining to the approaching cloud.

The end of the #petrodollar.

The end of the petrodollar will mean #US inflation and economic chaos will no longer affect the world as it has in the past.

A #Multipolar global economy will mean fairer trade and prosperity for those who choose to honour their trade agreements and obligations to the world.

US will no longer have the power to impose trade sanctions on other nations to benefit its own economic and political interests.

The best thing about an end to US hegemony will be the economic consequences on #USA limiting its ability to start endless wars against countries unwilling to succumb to US bullying.

@jeremy_pm this a bit spammy. Too many tags, who really cares, who does not already know?

@worik

I guess if you are only troubled by the number of tags then you don’t really have any concerns, but thanks for your input.

@jeremy_pm do not be so passive aggressive

A very bad habit on social media

@worik

I guess your criticism of me using hash tags to reach interested parties was worthy of a response. Sorry for my cynicism but I felt your passive aggression worthy of a similar response. ✌️

@jeremy_pm But emboldening China to do the same in Taiwan, so it's not without its downsides either.

@Salty

Indeed, Taiwan and China have a very interesting and complex history.

A brief layperson's guide to Taiwan and China's recent relationship suggests the major conflict between the two nations is essentially one of political ideology.

Taiwan was first ceded to Japan after the Sino-Japanese War of 1895 and remained under Japanese rule for the next 50 years until being returned to Chinese rule at the end of WW2 in 1945.

Then in 1949 the Chinese Nationalist government - Kuomintang, fled to Taiwan after losing the civil war to the Chinese Communist Party and setup the Republic of China govt in Taiwan.
