What have I done?

Oh well. At least it’s easy to carry and relatively light. And only cost $100 RGB Modded.

Genesis has a triple bypass with insurrection industries SCART cable #crt #rgb #retrogames #sega #sonicthehedgehog

@LeoBurr That looks great!
@Furball For $125, it wasn't terriburrs.
Awesome gear!
Sad to hear that Sonic has passed... he is resting on green hills now... 😝
@LeoBurr Good lord SCART is HUGE
@DeltaWye Yup. But for RGB, it’s great.
@LeoBurr @DeltaWye SCART was the best - you were such a fancy household if you had a TV with more than two SCARTs
@twll @LeoBurr @DeltaWye for the rest of us. We had to have a splitter box! With buttons you had to press!
gscart Automatic 8:2 SCART switch w/ sync regeneration & Sync on Green Support

@LeoBurr @DeltaWye That's what I use to connect my Amiga's custom chip output to various monitors/scan converters. I think I need a new cable as the SCART connector's a little loose, but otherwise it's solid and stable as long as there's not too much noise in the electrical connections.
@DeltaWye @LeoBurr Hold up. Was SCART not typical in the US? (Genuinely curious)
@xanthe @DeltaWye @LeoBurr There are SCARTs in Europe too. Some tvs still use them
@adronia @DeltaWye @LeoBurr Aye, I'm British and SCART was basically standard here. :D Composite is more unusual/ novel for me, haha.
@xanthe @LeoBurr We never saw SCART in the US to my knowledge. It was a bunch of separate connectors until HDMI came out.

@DeltaWye @xanthe We never had SCART. We never had RGB especially. We had a mix of connections. Composite using RCA. S-Video, and the best we got before HDMI was Component which used multiple RCA cables.

This TV was modified for SCART RGB.

@DeltaWye @xanthe @LeoBurr Togs is going to tell gen alpha these connectors were used to distribute condiments (mayo, mustard and ketchup)
@adronia @DeltaWye @xanthe @LeoBurr Actually they were supposed to be America First™ Patriot® Video© connectors, but some idiot made the third cable yellow instead of blue
