#AskFedi I need some ideas for a logo for a weather site for retro computers. All I can come up with is the overdone "sun half-covered by a rain cloud" motif, but I'd like to do something a *little* more original than that.

What do you folks think? 🤔

@PurpleJillybeans Does it need to be specific to retro computers, or just something that fits the era?

I think you might be able to draw some inspiration from the NWS. I don't think they've changed their logo in ages. It's basically just 🌩️ in front of a globe,  but the styling feels a lot different than what you typically see in modern logos.

Maybe take the same style of lightning bolt, but put it on a CRT in front of a solid circle (with clouds filling the void?), then the site name in a rocker over that?

@PurpleJillybeans well, keep the overdone sun and cloud motif, but replace the sun with a vintage computer.
