Today I spun wool at a local ‘lambs day’ event. When I had one bobbin almost full of wool there was a girl who said she could knit. She wanted to have the wool so I thought I’d chain ply it for her… I failed epically but she still wanted the wool. When they left her mom said she would be taking it to school tomorrow…

@abetterjulie thank you. If I hadn’t promised the wool to this girl I would have loved to try and knit something with it. So I will try it again. Also chain plying I think is a cool technique

@lisettedeboer the yarn wouldn’t pick up/draw in quickly enough. Maybe on the wheel with the slides instead of hooks and a quicker ratio it will be easier.

@lisettedeboer yep but I couldn’t correct that on the old wheel. Also the wrinkles were caught on the hooks on the flyer. So maybe I should say I was making art yarn :)
