The EU is not powerless, it can force Israel to stop the war in Lebanon through economic power, it just doesn't have the political will.

@ErikJonker @geopolitics they are all corrupted. Just as an example, Fabrice Aidan, a French diplomat, has also Israeli citizenship. He served as a diplomat for the Republic of France in Jerusalem from 1998 to 2000. At that precise same time, he was also doing army service in the IDF.
This is one of many examples of conflict of interest and, worse still, of national security endangerment.
In other countries in Europe, like Poland, for example, serving in a foreign army can (part 2 next)
@ErikJonker @geopolitics (part 2) grant you a prison sentence of up to 5 years. And we are talking here of normal citizens, not diplomats with access to sensitive and confidential information.

@ErikJonker @geopolitics It is hard to assess how the bureaucratic political mind works in this.

Things are happening that were unthinkable.

Why would Europe after Palestine and Iran, not be next? Not with bombs, but economically. I see no reason.

If this is what the US and Israel are willing to do to people basically standing in their way.

@ErikJonker @geopolitics

the EU is actively supportive of Israel's crimes

it wants Israel to do that shit

(in case some interpret your statement as the EU being too lazy or having too much inertia to do anything about it)
